| | | | | | | | | | Welcome to BCI’s Fourth Newsletter of 2026.- It’s April 15 and we are reminded of saying that “the only things certain in life are death and taxes”. Physicists may disagree. They would counter that the only thing immortal is energy and the only certainty in the universe is entropy (uncertainty). Suppose there was a way to enhance certainty through the immortality of energy, reducing what is due in taxes while improving the quality of life! That is what we aspire to when we talk about helping communities gain greater agency over their energy destiny - through tools like CEERUM and nurturing a lush ecosystem to facilitate that outcome. | | | | APPA Ops Conference in Huntsville, Alabama |
Earlier this month, Rohit Nayak and Moneer Azzam represented Beacon Climate at the APPA Operations Conference in Huntsville, Alabama. The conference gathered over 500 public power professionals—from engineers to utility directors—to tackle grid modernization, resilience, and environmental compliance.
It was a prime opportunity to connect with those on the front lines of the energy transition and introduce CEERUM to attendees actively navigating the exact challenges our tool is designed to solve. The substantive conversations and high level of interest were a strong reminder of how critical data-driven energy planning has become across the public power sector.
